Storyvoice

It all started when…

I met my two co-founders in Lebanon in 2016, and in 2018, we began working on Storyvoice with a grant from the MIT Media Lab. Our project initially started as a live storytelling show for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon. Given my background in creating fun and engaging branding and illustrations for kids, along with my passion for humanitarian work in the refugee crisis, this project was a natural fit for me. I was eager to be part of the future of design, including user interface development.

I took charge of crafting our brand identity and collaborated closely with my team on the user interface. I always put myself in the shoes of our users, imagining I was designing for my younger self. Our challenge was to create a brand and interface that could connect with all children while maintaining a global identity that resonated with classrooms worldwide.

Today, our Storyvoice live read-aloud shows are enjoyed by over 100,000 classrooms and families across 35 countries, and we're proud to have been acquired by Scholastic, the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books.
